What are Orthotics?
Custom orthotics are medical-grade insoles tailored specifically to your foot structure and biomechanics, designed to align your feet and ankles into their most efficient position. They’re not just arch supports–they help improve posture, reduce strain, and support your body from the ground up.
Orthotics provide added support that can help reduce general fatigue in the feet and lower limbs. They’re especially helpful for people who spend long hours on their feet, whether for work, sports, or everyday activities.
You can think of orthotics like glasses for your feet: made just for you to restore balance and reduce fatigue.
Support From the Ground Up
Custom 3D Scan
We use advanced 3D scanning to create orthotics that match the unique structure of your feet — no plaster, no guesswork. They’re designed to reduce strain, support posture, and improve movement from the ground up.
Targeted Support
Custom orthotics help relieve pain and improve alignment in the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and lower back.
Modern orthotics are designed to be lighter and slimmer than older styles, allowing them to fit comfortably in your favourite shoes.
GaitScan™ Technology
Our diagnostic tool uses over 4,000 sensors and 300 frames per second to track your gait in real time. This in-depth scan helps us identify imbalances and guide your personalized orthotic prescription.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do orthotics cost?
Our custom orthotics are $500. This includes the 3D GaitScan assessment, the orthotics themselves, and shipping. There are no surprise fees–everything is built into one flat rate.
Please note, payment is due at the time of the scan.
What is the process?
You'll start by getting a 3D scan of your feet, followed by a thorough gait assessment. Once this is done, you'll meet with Dr. Lingard to review details and finalize the order. The process is simple, non-invasive, and usually takes less than 30 minutes.
Who benefits from orthotics?
Orthotics are helpful for anyone who spends long hours on their feet, has foot or joint pain, specific conditions, or wants better support during work, sport, or everyday movement.
Are there different kinds of orthotics?
Yes. Orthotics can be customized for different types of footwear, including running shoes, work boots, everyday shoes, and many casual styles. Modern orthotics are slimmer and more flexible than older designs, making them easier to fit into the shoes you already wear.
Can you direct bill for orthotics?
We’re not able to direct bill for orthotics at this time. However, we’ll provide a detailed receipt that includes all the info your insurance provider may need for reimbursement.
Please note, payment is due at the time of the scan.
How long does it take to get my orthotics?
Once your scan is complete, your orthotics typically arrive within one week. We’ll contact you as soon as they’re ready for pickup!
Can kids get orthotics?
Yes! As kids grow, their feet and posture are constantly developing. Orthotics can help support healthy alignment, reduce strain on the feet and legs, and address concerns such as flat feet, toe walking, growing pains, or discomfort during sports and everyday activities.
How long do orthotics last?
Most orthotics last at least 2 years, depending on how often you wear them and your activity level. If your symptoms change, an injury occurs or you get new shoes, we may recommend reassessing sooner.
